In all honesty, I think its disgusting how certain Somali majority countries treat minorities who are so called "Midggan " and the non ethnic Somalis. Instead of concentrating on Guled who has migrated from Somalia, Somaliland or Djibouti t...…...

Personally, I don't know about my diaspora which is the British Somaliland community. But, when it comes to making fun of accents its usually done by young people who imitate how their parents speak and that's from experience. .

Yea but the thing is Arab nations specifically the gulf nations do influence somali leaders. Too often a Somali politician gets caught with Arab money in a corruption scandal meanwhile when Somalis live in an Arab country we get treated worse there than anywhere in the west. We follow their culture more so than they do.. I have nothing against individual Arabs but Arab royals like the house of saud do push drama in Somalia. I suspect it’s because they don’t want regional competition and Somalia does sit in a slope compared to the gulf region. I feel like if we started drilling for oil that it would impact them. Not to mention if we secured our part of the seas. A few pirates impacted billions of dollars, imagine if we had control.

Why is it wrong to discriminate against people who just came from somalia? In the UK people call them freshies, in the US it’s qaxootis and FOBs, in sweden it’s “imports”. My cousin says it’s wrong but when we go to Somalia they call us Deqan Celis. There’s a rift between us in the diaspora vs people from the mother land but people always make it seem one sided. They act superior when we are there I asked an old mad ”if your culture is superior why is this place a mess? Why do people die to go west?” I got no response.
