My paternal ancestor wanted to break the world record in solo kayaking and travelled solo on his kayak around the world in 1774. His kayak was attacked by a group of deadly humpback wales and he fended for himself not to be eaten by these monsters and killed all of them, then he sought refuge in an Indian Ocean island close to the mainland of Australia. You are lucky guys, most of the Somali single men who went to America in the 1980’s married African American women to get their sharci. When they fled those wives and their children, most mothers renamed their children, baptised their children in their local churches and forgot about their former husbands/dads. A couple who haven’t changed their names are an American well known artist and a celebrity chef.
