Did you guys grow up in the hood or the suburbs?

I feel like we have the assumption that all Somalis live in the hood/low income neighborhoods.
But I didn't , I grew in a mostly white safe & clean suburban neighborhood. What about y'all?

We don't have real Burroughs ,we have low income government housing .
But we have those in every major city . It's cheap & convenient for low income people . Only Somalis I know who live un those are reer Sweden

Then we have something like that in the suburbs of of big citys & average people live in those

I have lived in all sorts of neighborhoods.

From extremely MENA ghettos to ultra white areas (both working class white and snobby rich white).

I honestly liked the MENA ghettos the most. Only there did random people refer to me as their brother all the time. It felt weird the first couple of times.
