I’ve got Iraqi friend who told me he basically didn’t like the ottomans empire but he can’t also say the ottoman wasn’t good or caliph empire because Ahmed II for an example conquered a place that prophet SAW said that it was going happen before it begin. He told me that his family didn’t like the ottomans cuz they’ve started mistreating other but his family (forefathers ) fought for the ottoman because the land of palastine would under the British rule which they didn’t agree on. One of his great grandfather died serving for the ottoman.

The only reason Turkey doesn't look like this, with Istanbul being another Jersualem is because of Ataturk. He was a man of subtlety, reason, dare for utmost change in urgency and devotion.
