Why do some diaspora somalis try make it seem like somalis are a monolith

They're not. Somalis are scared to open up and reveal their true selves. They're only a monolith for public appearance purposes. I have opened up to the most conservative Somalis and they don't treat me differently. But I made sure to get a secret from them first.
