Diaspora Army In Somalia.

Got a question.

Why don’t we have a diaspora security agency that collects Somalis from the age of 18-45 to help join in on the fight against terrorism in Somalia?

Personally, I believe if we can take 2,000 of our call of duty drop outs and Uni half assers and give them a new lease and purpose in life we can smash Al-Shabab quicker than Amisom could.

I know it requires funding and capital is very limited.

Here me out.

2,000 diaspora Somalis trained for 18 months who can read blueprints, fix equipment and train to combat terror in Somalia for 1 year together can pull off the greatest win in Somalinimo history. The advantage of using diaspora Somalis is that they have no suspicion or relation to Alshabab. They can go through a lie detector test and interviews for ethics. This group of 2,000 men should adopt a new culture and swear a new oath to Somalinimo. An oath that includes, brotherhood, hardwork, discipline and foregiveness.

These 2,000 men would be given humvees, airsupport, tactical gear and various state of the art technologies sold in Military trade shows.

They would be called the “Forgiveness Generation”, or something cheesy like that.

If it moves it gets shot.
If it talks it gets shot.
If it’s a male it’s gets shot.

These 2,000 men may parish but, their act of bravery might go down in history and cement them in the halls of the new Somalia. The country can guarantee and issue a savings bond for the fallen soldiers families.

Or we can just let bunch of incompetent old men, tell us that Arab/African makeshift armies know what’s best for us.

Military requires discipline dedication and courage something those you named above lack.

Somalia has a better chance recruiting volunteer fighters across the country, train and equip them well

Interesting proposal. I don't understand how they didn't infiltrate and destroy AS from the inside. Just pick up several dim witted jihadi inbreds and flip them. Give them a chance at a better life and in exchange get them to do dirty work.

I'm sure there would be plenty of volunteers but that's the least of your problems.

Raising a few hundred million shouldn't be an issue either if it's a serious organisation.

However it's obvious that our allies and our current leaders in Somalia don't want a competent Somali force.

This is why the Turkish base is pissing of a lot of factions.

They can't directly stop Turkey but do you really think they let you f*ck over their plans?

In Ancient Somali Tribal Warfare, nobody went to war against another Somali simply on “Jihad”. It made no sense because your fighting a Somali.

When we faught over limited resources as we do today, it was Tribal fued and people never honoured the dead martyrs.

Unlike in this Era, where your own brother and sibling declares jihad on you and believes he’s a martyr.

We have a generation eager to die for any reason or any cause, just so they can validate themselves.

For Somalis, terrorism is a cultural phenomenon. There are no opposing sects in Somalia. It’s a bunch of people who share the same religion.

There’s has to be a top down audit control on the whole system. People need to cheer on their favourite fighters, encourage their brothers and help them get the access to the supplies they need to destroy this Kawaraaj.

Thier problem is they don’t want get paid $300 to do something honourable. They want more then what Amisom gets paid.

They would rather take the $300 sent from abroad and pass the buck off to someone else.
