You are liar. The largest fish stocks are in Bari due to the extended continental shelf and collision of the Somali current with Gulf of Aden hence why most illegal fishing happens there. Hobyo is like the rest of Somalia with a narrow strip for trawling, extending no more than 20 miles.

puntland should reject this whole deal since we have a deal with the Chinese. Most fish stock is in our region we have no need for a sharing agreement with Hutu or the rest. Caasimada is a Hutu website so I doubt anything they say is true but if we give them the benefit for one minute . i think it is a good development.

It is absolutely unacceptable, This is a billion dollar industry. We can't treat with Hutu on this issue it's too important. When roads to the coast are build the deals he made (Gaas) it will be a complete game changer. The last few years Gaas organised this sector and registered fisherman with the EU to the point we will be able to get investment. They want to cockblock the progress made in this industry.

This is the official territorial map of the EEZ boundaries, according to international Law it doesn't even belong to you and even worse now UAE is in control of that Island to enforce it. As a result all the Northern region area's for fishing is severely limited with Djibouti even contesting.

The 200 mile exclusive economic zone as per international law doesn't factor into this choke point because of it's narrowness, hence there is only very little area that belongs to Somalia as per law, this is not the case for the other central/southern regions. The whole of Bari is limited.
