2 million strong clan, if anything it would allow us to operate more effectively. MJ ran the civilian government of the sixties with no backing from other Darod clans, I don’t see why we can’t do more than that now. Quality over quantity.

Jubbaland would also become more neutral, as the Harti population in Waamo is also mostly MJ. Not to mention, PL would no longer be a natural ally.

Because UAE is calling the shots and funding all opposition politicians. This isn’t just a meeting between Somalis it’s being orchestrated by a foreign government which likely has the backing of the America and the west.

SSC depends entirely on Puntland militarily and economically. PL militias on the front lines, Pl ports, no infrastructure, etc. Jubaland is also just Kismayo, central regions are shared with Hawiye and are barren wastelands with zero infrastructure. Without PL he is correct, they become reliant on Xamar, if it is even left standing.
