They take their voting habits with them, destroying the better jurisdiction they moved too.
These places there moving to are gerrymandered impossible for Texas to turn blue and working class Hispanics out number white liberals by a lot

Texas will be the state with the biggest population in 15 years the decline of California is real

They vote in municipal elections too. They'll vote for higher property taxes, dedicated bike lanes reducing lanes for cars, anti-business regulations, lots of service fees, funding for illegals, allowing tent cities for drug users who need forced intervention, and much more.

Illegals immigrants won’t be an issue with the Trump deportations and biking lanes are nice you wanna be in a car 24/7 ?

Austin a liberal city has done a very good job eradicating homelessness and business regulations are created by the state government

He won't deport much. When I refer to illegals, I mean the non-Latino kind. The Latinos should stay.

Bikes are for recreation, not travelling. They have many trails they could use or they could use the sidewalk.

Wealthy elites and major corporations often flee blue states for red states, not because red states offer better opportunities, but because they offer weaker oversight. They're looking to escape higher taxes, environmental protections, labor standards, and union power.

But red states don’t actually benefit in a meaningful way. As I’ve discussed before, these regions often remain poorer, with worse healthcare outcomes, underfunded education systems, and stagnant wages , even after those businesses relocate. The wealth still flows upward and outward, not into the communities doing the work.
When Tech companies move to poor republican states and towns to avoid taxes they actually just take advantage of poor communities and lax regulation rather than making it a better place to live in. Most of the money they even generate is not even reinvested into the community and they rely on cheap labor.
For example for this town , SpaceX has caused earthquakes, rampant workplace injuries, skirted regulations, threatened wildlife, and displaced local communities, while securing millions in corporate welfare.
Just to show you how much Republicans are willing to forsake people and tolerate massive levels of human suffering and destruction in the name of higher profits to the point the create ''Cancer Alleys' in places like Louisiana.

You heard Donald Trump on the campaign trail complain about America not producing more oil for environment protection. This is what higher fossil fuel production does, it creates massive amount of pollution that renders entire populations sick
Since they don't pay taxes in red states none of the money these companies generate is re-invested into the areas from which they operate. They literally just extract and displace people.

We already saw with the MAGA outrage over Indian HB1 debacle and it's solely due to corporate greed. But they don't get that it's linked to republican policies that enable it. The business owners want to retain more profit and not pay their workers real wages. They don't want to fund and support an educational system to create skilled workers either.

It's all about how can i extract and retain more wealth and give less back.
Thats why they have higher rates of poverty and higher unemployment. Just to put into perspective they higher problems across all areas.

What the guy in the video doesn't seem to realize is this: it's the same class of wealthy elites moving into red states who helped create the affordability crisis in blue states in the first place

They're the ones buying up entire neighborhoods, driving up property values and rent prices, and turning homes into investment assets rather than places for people to live. It’s happening across the country:

So when they move to red states to ‘escape’ blue-state policies, they’re just exporting the same inequality ,without the safety nets or regulations that might at least try to soften the blow.

BIG Blue states like Cali are expensive because they have stupid zoning laws it’s really that simple let people build and the price will come down housing bubbles in America usually bursts every 10 years or so it’s not Canada and California does not manufacture anything it all went overseas

Most red states are rural places I’m taking about places like Texas and Florida which have wages the are the same as Cali or New York

Most of the people who are leaving are not billionaires there middle class people there sick of the excuses practice what you preach

Austin has done a good job with housing

Latinos are the visible majority in Texas and Arizona

America has a shit on of highways I wish they could build high speed rail in the urban areas

Zoning laws are a thing even in red states , they’re not exclusive to California or blue states. In fact, many red states have strict zoning too, especially in suburban and semi-rural areas where residents oppose multi-family housing or higher-density development.

It's something i spoke about in another thread about American "NIMBY" culture , which makes affordable housing difficult to build.

The key difference isn’t just zoning , it’s demand, speculation, and how real estate is treated as an investment vehicle. California’s housing crisis isn’t solely because of zoning. It’s also because corporate landlords, private equity firms, and wealthy individuals have bought up entire neighborhoods and priced locals out.

The irony is that they will just recreate the same housing crisis and affordability in red states, that makes people leave. Which is happening as we speak.

Austin has done a good job with housing

Too bad it isn't true for many cities in Texas.

You can read more about it here

Same thing in Florida

And also Arizona

They are moving there because it is cheaper ,not because of the living standard of living is good

But the reverse scenario will happen soon enough.

Austin is the best liberal city in America the mayor and city council have really done a good job it’s so clean and safe by the way major cities in every red state are run by blue mayors

I wish democrats on the national level were like that instead of grifting 24/7 peopel like pelosi and Schumer have to go as well as the Neocon republicans

Texas is still affordable although prices have gone up since everyone is moving there in droves and it still leads the nation in job growth

Interestingly prices have been declining recently

I agree but i've told you before most democrats are corporately bought, they are not truly progressive at all and they won't fully roll out progressive leaning policies in the full sense that their constituency wants. They behave more like centrist if you ask me.

Austin in contrast rolls out really progressive leaning policies. It keeps passing laws that the state of Texas has to overrule it

The increase in housing prices is pricing out locals, that's not sustainable development or growth. Prices should match the earning and purchasing power of the people that live there.

So they are trying to correct the market to reflect this.
