Salaam I have ordered online pills to delay my periods as my menses is expected to come on Sunday and my menses last for 10 days so i cannot afford to miss the last 10 nights of ramadan but the problem is when you take the norethestione pills some women may get breakthrough bleeding like spots of blood that has nothing to do with your menstrual cycle but is to do with your pills if that happens to me do I break my fast or continue fasting?
Another question since I am fasting I am meant to take it 3 times a day so what time am I meant to take it like because they said there needs to be 8 hour gap everytime you take the pills but I can't do that since I'm fasting. And please don't tell me to not take the pills as I already wasted a lot of money

sounds dangerous to delay something natural. just pray nothing bad happens but you have good intentions so hopefully you’ll be fine. i don’t know how you’ll manage taking them 8 hours apart when you only have an 8 hour eating window

Everyday as a woman i learn something new

is not dangerous ad it has been approved by the doctors so I'm going to take since I already have it with me. In the package they say three times a day so would it be safe to take it at 3:00am aftet my suhoor than again at 8:40 in the evening than again at 11:30 at night is that a safe way to take it?I'm pretty sure that's what most muslim women do when they're fasting. I wish I got more answers

I already bought it so i doubt it and beside I want to try it since a lot of Muslim women take it

Menses are what Allah has ordained even in the holy month. Theirs no use fighting nature and using pills that could mess up your hormones. You can still read quran online and do your du'as. Fast the 6 days after Ramadhan and do Mondays and Thursdays.

I am not fighting with nature if there are things available for us to delay our period than why not take the opportunity and make dua to Allah that the pills work? don't see anything wrong with that if I'm honest. And it isn't haram as i went to islamqa besides I spent a lot of money on it

The blessing in the last 10 days are in the night hours. Nobody is fasting at those hours.

You can still read the Quran. The widespread opinion that a woman on her period can't touch the mushaf/Quran book is false.

May Allah make use the beneficiaries of the blessed last ten nights of Ramadan.

Regarding the first question: only blood resulting from menstruation or childbirth nullifies the fast.

Secondly, you can't fast and take the pills simultaneously during the day, because the fast gets invalid by anything reaching your stomach through your mouth that you are the cause of willingly. If the pill is not sufficient if taken during the night then just skip it and fast for those days you can.

Thirdly, as mentioned by Desert Flower and Abdalla, worship is not only fasting and the extra blessing is in the night. Read your adhkar, thank Allah, make du'aa etc.

As for reading the Qur'aan for a woman during her mensen, it is a matter of dispute between the scholars and the majority of them deem it to be impermissible. But they almost unanimously agree that a menstruating woman cannot touch the Mushaf (there is a distinction between the two, which seems to have escaped @Abdalla) , so if you decide to read Qur'aan then do it by heart. Even better if you just keep to all the other Ibaadah available, i.e. making du'aa, reading adhkaar, giving charity etc.

Those pills are risky it’s not healthy to delay your period
Just make dikir and dua inshallah next year you won’t be on your period during this time

Is it bil ijmaac/consensus that a woman on her period can't touch the Mushaf? What do they base on?

The ones that allow it base it on the Hadith of Aisha

messenger of Allah (SAW) said to me: Get me the mat from the mosque. I said: I am
menstruating. Upon this he remarked: Your menstruation is not in your hands." (Sahih muslim)

A woman's touch is not impure even if she's menstruating

You cannot fast while taking those pills. 3 times a day with a 8 hour gap between each pill means that you’ll have to take at least one or two during your fast (depending on how long fasting hours are where you live).

Hormonal birth control pills may also have side effects that you DON’T want to be dealing with. Such as weight gain, nausea, headaches, acne, breast tenderness, spotting, etc. Just make it up after Ramadan.

It is not an issue of Ijmaac, or consensus. There is a minority opinion (specifically in the Maliki madhab) that allow for touch if there is a need, but should be avoided when possible.

As for what they based it upon it is the verse in Surah Waaqicah "And no one shall touch it except the pure", which is interpreted by many of the Sahabah and Tabi'een that anyone who cannot pray due to lack of Wuduu or Ghusl cannot touch the mushaf. This is, however, contended as others interpreted it to refer to Lawxul Maxfuudh.

Second is the Hadith of Camr bn Hazm in the letter (which Ibn Abd al Barr and other said it has the Hukm of Mutawaatir and the isnaad is not needed to be examined) in which the prophet (SCW) said "and no one may touch it (the Qur'aan) except in a state of purity". Since the muslim is always Daahir in the sense that his fluids and sweat and spit etc are pure, the meaning of the Hadith has to be regarding the state of Muxdith/non-muxdith, i.e. Wuduu or not. So the women menstruating is not even up for discussion as she needs not only Wuduu but Ghusl as well.

As for not allowing them to read, most of the Hadiths that mention it are either weak by consensus, or their authenticity is disputed. The only Sahih hadith (narrated by Bukhari and Muslim) put forward (to my limited knowledge) is the Hadith of Aisha that the prophet (SCW) lay in her lap while she was menstruating and recited Qur'aan. They argued that the mentioning of him (SCW) reciting Qur'aan in this context would've been void of any benefit if it would not be due to the fact that a women on her period cannot read. Meaning, if she can read, then why mention that he read? It is as if she is telling us; although I couldn't read, he could read despite laying on my lap! Ibn Daqiq al Ciid mentiones it in his Sharx of Cumdatul Axkaam.

The Hadith you quoted is a proof that her unpurity is not extended to her limbs, but only to her private parts where the blood comes (i.e. not in your hands, but somewhere else). This is outside the discussion.

All in all, if you choose the opinion that it is OK and you are saitsfied with the evidence presented by the other side, I see no problem. I just reacted to the "There is no evidence for it" ;)

Serious matters aside, nice to hear of you again caalimka Reer Xirsi. I've been away from this place for a while, laakin not surprised that you are still on the front lines. Dadka qaar waa u dhashaan qaarna waa bartaan, adiga waxaagu waa u dhalasho kkkkkkk kama maarmi kartid

MashAllah bro, thanks. I've heard of people using the ayah in Waqia as proof. However, as you said it most likely refers to lawxul maxfuud. The Mudhahireen (The pure ones) are the Angels. Muslims are mutadhahireen (those that keep purifying themselves as it's clear in the Ayah and dua

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ
