Part of the reason the NEC has not announced the result yet is the the Waddani Muraaqabiin (Witnesses) left the counting process of Gabiley & Hargeysa districts when the extent of their loss become clear.
So they left the counting process of those districts 3 nights ago. Under SL electoral law witnesses from each party must be present in the counting process for the results to be Xalaal.
Waddani have now been placated and their concerns have been largely addressed - The re-counting of those districts will begin in earnest.
It also seems those blank ballots Waddani were running around with were real and not forgeries printed by Sagal Jet with UAE money as claimed. Cirro wuu ku qancay the commisions expalantion.
The question now becomes who stole those ballots and who came up with the idea. The NEC are adamant they are gonna take action. I hope they do, these amoral politicians nearly caused a crises.

WADANI has always said lets review the Gabiley scandal and parts of Hargiesa the NEC agreed that was the whole point of the dispute. The NEC refused before but agreed now.
