Many Somalispot users love to perpetuate the myth that Arab women are devout, incredibly loyal and adhere to traditional values but it’s proven to be completely BS in this day and age.

IMO, Arab women are the most rebellious and spoiled ethnic group out of all Muslims. How many times have you heard stories of them fleeing from their family and female members in your family telling you the shit they do behind their backs? When you see Muslim girls in a degenerate setting, it’s always the Arabs 99% of the time. They can appear devout in the morning then a at night.

Can you imagine your average halimo calling the cops to take her some place safe because she hated the conservative lifestyle of her family?

IMO, the most loyal, well behaved and near devout are the Desi Muslim women. They’re like robots. If you as the husband or their family tell them what to do, they’ll do it without question which is why they’re seen as successful, highly educated and have elders live with them etc.

I have relatives that went to private schools in the middle east so they were predominately exposed to the upper class. Their views on them were mixed. Some considered this 'segment' in their society the most debauched. Given the greater resources and less restrictions placed on them relative to other members of their society. They have told me about stories of girls going abroad being less than pious. It's nothing new. Fleeing, are all of them in the same situation as their Saudi counterparts? Every Saudi women who turn into something degenerate, the fault should be on their family and her society

I think the OP didn't quite frame it appropriately. What I think he wanted to address is some guys putting women on a pedestal when they know very little about them as individuals and have fanciful ideas about them based on cultural stereotypes that are in this case 'orientalist' in nature. He should have just mentioned that you don't really know about foreign societies all that much even if they are of a shared faith. When you are not apart of an in group you have less access to information from their community members and members of their group may be less inclined to tell you about a girl's reputation. It's odd to idealize any group of women especially as an outsider. It makes a man look weak-minded. And you'd never see people in my father's generation ever do that. It's not all that common though. Only a few cyber simps act like this.

I think part of the push to marry within your ethnic group is based on comfort, familiarity and an acute awareness of their cultural history and being able to readily access information regarding their family history. That and multiple commonalities bind people more than differences. I know you can't know everything about someone but I'm in favour of being more informed rather than less aware.

I always thought it was more to do with the families trying to make a marriage work. There's that pressure and it's so much harder to divorce/walk out without burning a ton of bridges.
