Debunking fake document used to smear the ICU

Alot of dishonest and bad faith actors on this forum, most notably @reer , love to use a supossed leaked document from Hassan Dahir Aweys to paint the ICU as clannish and terroristic. My reasoning for this threads is that many of the more uncritical members of this forum may otherwise fall for this utterly baseless drivel and have their entire understanding of that period in Somali History muddled by it.

The facts of the matter is that wikileaks never got this from the ICU, nor did they get it from an ICU official, militia commander, or judge. The only confirmed origin of this leak as admitted by wikileaks is from a chinese source who got it from the TFG. The incentive the Ethiopian imposed pseudo-government would have in smearing the ICU is self evident.

WIkileaks itself even concludes it to be a forgery.

I thought you was talking about the Ethiopian invasion but yes at the beginning some warlords tried to rebel against the ICU but it wasn’t really a big threat since the ICU garnered support rather quickly from the public and the warlords were swiftly dealt with
