Grew up in another state, but now I’m reer MN. I hope to eventually learn Somali, but I don’t really want a partner who speaks Somali as a first language or one who’ll mock me for not knowing it anyway. I guess that makes me whitewashed and a dummy in the eyes of most Somalis, but I’m content for now.
