Can't we all chill for a bit.. It's good to participate in your kids life, but not all fathers have this opportunity especially if the father is working hard to provide for his family..

We're not talking about normal parents who can't make it sometimes, we're talking about people who don't care to attend and think feeding and clothing children is all that matters.

Thinking about it Akon is incredibly careless. Heβs from a community/ or is associated with a community with high rates of absent fathers and the effects of that is evident to see. He has a lot of men looking up to him so saying that in public could cause even more issues for the black community.

wait a minute but that's not what a deadbeat dad is. a deadbeat dad is not present in his child's life. maybe the dad is at work when the recital is going on but he spends time with the child at other times. if he spends time and does good things with the kid like teach him about Islam it isn't necessarily that important if he shows up to these school events. things like teaching the child about Islam and about life are way more important than sitting in the background at some school event.
well that too... what is the son doing in a dance recital? the dad better take his son out of that school
