He’s a sitting MP and former presidents wield a lot of influence in Somalia as there is no formidable opposition in parliament just particular MPs loyal to their, clan or linked to a president or former president.

Yep, why do you think they purchase residential properties in other countries? It’s mostly used by MPs who have security concerns about being in the capital and/or their constituency. So they live abroad and travel to the capital when they feel like it, funny enough I believe parliament pays for both ends of the trip to and from. All former presidents are granted and entitled to be a member of parliament until they die. So they will always be involved in politics just to a smaller and smaller degree as they become irrelevant with time.

True, but these guys don’t have the IQ to understand the implications this could have. Farmaajo tried assassinate HSM and AAW as well. Truly though, HSM lost credibility long ago even amongst the Hawiye. He is only making things worse for himself

Man the political class back home are some bottom barrel shit. I don't know if it's because we're in diaspora and within nations that function but I feel some of the regular folk here could be better MPs. (Not all since a majority are equally deranged.) I dread the next elections.
