I was told that the only way to get to Damascus was through a road trip in Lebanon. Also obtaining visa is a very difficult. So how did you get there. Would love to know!

Nope, you can go to Kuwait and take an flight on a airline called Cham Wings Airlines that takes you there. Also, the visa process is hard, but you just need to apply and get a sponsor. I did that, and I came from Mogadishu to Damascus via Qatar and Kuwait on board Qatar Airways and Cham Wings
