Daalo Airline Banned to Fly into Puntland

Puntland provincial authority in Somalia has announced the suspension of Daalo airline operations to and from Puntland. The Immigration department has been informed of the order that airline operation flights were stopped. The Airline was one of the oldest company that has started to launch flights in Somalia once Somalian airline stopped operations in 1991 following the collapse of its central gov.

The current Galmudug regional president, Mr. Ahmed Du’ale Geele aka “Xaaf” a business tycoon is a shareholder of Daalo airlines. The immigration department in Puntland’s provincial authority informed the airport staffers that the airline was suspended operations from and to Puntland. Puntland blames Daalo airline of spearheading a campaign against Ethiopian airline which put a risk to Somali operating airline as Ethiopian airline expanded its operations in Puntland. The Ethiopian airline recently launched a direct flight from Addis Ababa to Garowe in an attempt to put pressure on Somalia operating airlines. The firm that operates Daalo airline has not so far issued a statement concerning the ban from Puntland authority.

It's hard to fathom how stupid these Somali business tycoons are, you wonder how they even made all that money.

No innovation, no forward-thinking, terrible services that progressively got worse each year and the worst of all no investment into there business for future growth, these people laugh at you if you bring this up.

They had a monopoly for over 30 years, imagine what a visionary could have done with all that money ? They could have ran the entire country and entrenched themselves for the foreseeable future.

It's because of idiots like these along with the other monopolists and useless tycoons why today Qatar/UAE control us.

They had 30 years monopoly, charging as much as 400 dollar for a two hour flight, and none of them thought to change destinations. None of them thought to buy/rent a decent airplane that fullfils the safety requirements to land in London or any other city with huge Somali population.

Have you seen Somali business offices? Dusty, unorganised and impoverished looking even though they have wealth.

Somali businessmen don't have pride in their businesses, they just care about easy short-term profits.

Many of them have made immense wealth by selling sub-par or out of date products.

They think investing in good products/service will cut into their profit margins without considering the profits and consumer loyalty they will make in the long-term.
