The people of the Rift Valley , have some Somali in them , wether you like it or not , that traditional attire are worn also by many ethnic groups , mainly pastrolists.

The regions bordering the NFD have stark similarities with Somalis.

What makes you think they stole from them lol
Somalis like the Ajuuraan and the Degoodi made earlier contacts with these people.

Somalis are obviously the most influential of all these groups in east africa due to having a large number of traders and economic migrants.

Historically Somali traders sold Banadiri print to everyone they possibly could, now all these Nilotic, Bantu, Oromo and Commorians wear it. Ugandans also claim it as theirs.

Somalis bought the Macawiis from Asians, that much is obvious. The only 'macawiis' that is originally Somali is the White Cotton one. Also, that Omani hat is from Omanis and I believe was made by those cadcad communities in Barawe and then was later adopted by Somali elders.

There is no problem with adopting clothes, but they must give credit to where it originated.

Somalia's useless government should protect Banadiri print and file lawsuits against cheap imitations from China.
