the problem is you'll always be stopped that's why having a global superpowr like russia china is an absolute necessity. I wouldn't mind either of those two nations having bases all over somalia as long as they back us when america tells us to F off if we ever have another war with Ethiopia which will happen some day.

If we're going to align ourselves with Russia & China then we must take full advantage. For instance, any weapons we purchase from them must be produced in Somalia in collaboration with Somali companies so that knowledge & technical expertise is transfered to us. If we're able to procure our own weapons then we'll be able to wage wars for a longer period & not have to rely upon outsiders to supply us.

that's smart actually plus it'd help the economy. But my point isn't just for weapons and equipment, we'd need their full support against our enemies. Countries like Ethiopia and Kenya will never lose to us even if we can beat them because America and the UK would back them anyday of the week. But if we have our own supporter, then we could at least end up with a compromise instead of being forced to do whatever they'd want.
