@Kingcobra Djibouti is a trading hub with many flights going all over the place and with lots of foreign military personnel. Not that surprising it is the highest per capita of the Horn region. Ethiopia is way more rural and 'backwards'.

PS. I think that Somalis are highly susceptible to Covid-19. They are way over-represented in the deaths in North Europe.

Weird though because initially the theories were the Afro-Asiatics have low ACE-II frequency and that East Asians were the main susceptible population. WTF, maybe low ACE-II is bad?? Explaining why South Euros are dying more from it than North Euros?

Geography probably. The same is happening in the Uk, they are setting up testing centers outside cities when many NHS workers take public transport. How are they able to get to the testing centers and go to work at the same time?

Highest per capita in the horn but not East Africa. Kenya is ahead with 81 cases out of 1385 tested ( as of April 1st). They've tested a whopping 800 last 24 hrs so they're doing ok

200 million Nigeria has tested like 500 ppl :drakelaugh:

Africa man :tocry:

2 bastard Egyptian doctors refused to get tested after showing symptoms and spread it like crazy. New cases have been up the last few days cuz all the ppl they treated/have come in contact with are being tested. In general, we're doing ok imo

Worst part I heard is they have people locked up at their houses, but aren't providing food to all people

That was yesterday. Here's today's press release

83 positives out of 498 tested is crazy. Are they tracking really well or has it spread to the point of no return?

Worst part I heard is they have people locked up at their houses, but aren't providing food to all people

Well that's not an easy task, they're even struggling with it in first world nations. Africa can't afford lock lockdowns, it's why very few nations have done it.

"Just three weeks into the lockdown, the Food Foundation said that 1.5 million Britons reported not eating for a whole day because they had no money or access to food"
