There was an estimated 114 000 Somalia - born people residing in the UK in 2014 . I would say there are at least 200 000 Somalis who were born in the UK since 1990 . Thus there are roughly 314 000 SomAlis in the UK . I doubt there are that many Kenyans . How comes one never sees this Masai fellows ? Suugo science !

If we agree on the 114k figure of people born in somAlia , imagine all the children those people have had since 1990 .the families on my street alone have at least 4 kids each . I believe Somalis are now nearing the 400 k mark in the UK . Suugo science @ Kenyan mumbo jumbo . Also don't forget there are large Asian East African populations residing in the UK.

Many older Asians in the UK come from the Ugandan expulsion of Ida Amin .there are also Kenyan and Malawian Asians . These people must contribute to their figures .

Furthermore , I would hypothesise there are least 50 k Somalis who were not bothered to fill out the census (like myself )and a further 100k who were either paranoid or don't know how to fill out a form .the government hires people to go around to Somali households to get them to fill out the form .

In mainland Europe, they keep track of your country of origin for three generations, and then the person becomes an ''ethnic native''.

No racial census, just based on country of birth (+parents/grandparents).
