dosent matter who's running it, dictatorship is as bad as it can possibly get, how in the world do you make the best nation for your people if there options or criticism don't hold weight and can get them jailed, also theres no dissenting voice just yes men so when things go wrong its not corrected or noticed, basically becoming a clusterfuck, worst possible type of government possible

no such thing as a fair dictatorship, and they fail the fundamental principle guiding a successful nation and thats infringing on the individual rights of the people, dictatorships always end bad for a reason, and are never effective during, pretty much what we have currently is even better, which is why I think were doing better than those countries with dictatorships, id take anarchy over dictatorship

its not about being soft, the constitution should allocate the executive or basically the president very little power where he should act on basically what the people want so giving representatives a lot of power but having those representatives have very short terms so if they don't satisfy there constituency there out, pack you bags, president is basically a public servant in this case not a ruler and the things the people want happen, creating a healthy country, dissent or rivalry between representatives are also good to get all sides usually done by parties, but here is where its useful for clans in Somalia where they take the party role and every mp fights on behave of his people/constituents aka clan and nobody is marginalized,
all thats left would be a supreme or higher court to keep corruption and politicians in check and you have a well functioning democracy along with a free market and you will easily get a strong nation

honestly even states should have power that the feds can't step over and a Supreme or higher Court to rule over it, the feds should be limited in most areas of government other than really foreign policy and ceremonial gestures, people have more voice with there respective states but these can be even further divided so every area and clan have proper representation at the federal level while the states do there own thing
