Somali women have no choice. They can be both mothers and have full time jobs and they do it for survival. From what I see in the community, the divorce rate seems to be quite high. How are they going to provide for their kids if their husband leaves them and they decided to be a full time stay at home wife?

This is the same in Somalia. The women there work or even own their own businesses while raising her kids. Most businesses over there are run by mothers.

Her children also need a strong, independent and proud woman to look up to if anything were to happen. Divorce is not the only issue; her husband can drop dead so who will be the breadwinner then?

A friend of a mine once said "you can have peace but not love or love but not peace" and i think that is true for girls who put everything on hold for education and career. You see girls with a degree and a job putting marriage and children on hold to get a masters and what not. No way they not thinking its too late by the time they hit 27 and feel burnt out by 30.
