You Oromos are an interesting people, wallahi. You are literally THE pan-Horn ethnic group. When the original Oromo tribes expanded most likely out of the east around what is now the Borana zone, they ended up assimilating everything from Somalis to Sidamics to Xabeshas to Muslim Southern-Ethiosemitic people to probably even one or two Canfars and it all shows in your varied genetics whether it's how spread out across the Horn you are in PCAs or your variety of Y-DNA lineages.

"Oromia, unlike Somaliland, has a diverse population".

Not even Ajnabis let us breathe :mjcry:

Lol, it's not bad though, because it'll be easier to unite Somali-landers, since they're mostly the same people, but there's different clans right? Isaaq is dominant in Hargeisa, Burao, Berbera, Erigavo and Gabiley, right?
Then you have Gadabursi, in awdal region/Borama? Etc etc etc?

The author's resoluteness is admirable but JSL and Oromia are comparable. An accident caused Somalilaand to withdraw from the union with SomaliaItaliaana. The dictatorship had been defeated and the goal was to rebuild a new united SomaaliRepublic but some hurdles emerged in Muqdisho. There was no viable partner in Somaalia Italiana so so Somaliland clans choose to withdraw from the union.

There was no long struggle because Isaaq won. The SNM liberation against the dictator was was not about withdrawring from the union with the South. Most Jabartis and most Irir supported the dictator and the main exception was Ciise Irir. Isaaq supported liberation. Isaaq/SNM won. The losing factions to sign the peace and seperation agreement of 1991 in the Isaaq city of Burco

You should emulate Eritrean struggle. Qotiland liberation takes AddisAbaba/Finfinne. They sign their own independence referendum
