Communication in Somali Families

Do your parents sit down and have chats with each other? I've noticed I've rarely seen my mother and father ever sit together and chat about random things and I dont mean "sidee tahay" etc I mean full on sheeko sheeko.

So my parents are divorced. I rarely see them in the same atmosphere. One day I get seriously sick. They call my dad in. So now they’re both together. All of a sudden they’re laughing and all sheeko sheeko hee hee qosal qosal. I was full on shocked. Never seen them talking in a whole conversation for hours. One in a lifetime opportunity wallahi loool

My parents literally have conversation everyday. Especially in the kitchen my mom will be cooking and doing other stuff while my dad is talking to her the whole time
