So your argument is "people call me black, so i am black"? And in science there are no different races, only one race. Are you proud of that label, even though the connotations are clealy negative, derogatory, outdated, reductive or otherwise unrepresentative label. You are somali, not black. Blacks only used to define the people that had slave backgrounds, because the whites didn't care for their ethnicities or other aspects of their history.
Why do we feel the need to adopt other elements when we've always been content with ourselves? If a person came up to me, and asked "are you black?". Would i answer "Yes, im black because clearly my skin is dark", or "no im somali". The lable black is used for bantus, and that is ok, no problem. But im not a bantu, so don't group me in the same category.
