I have lived in Somalia for years and not once did I hear any insult towards my sisters who are all dark skin, the first time I heard about it was back in 2017 by an African American woman online. Now it is 2021 and some Somali girls are falsely pushing this narrative.

We'll never know how many people bleach for sure but it's not hard to tell. You can look at the cracks in their knuckles, their pasty faces. and weirdly dark lips. Liesss! If they had the means they would have lighten themselves ages agoooo. Women go into debt in Djibouti for Diana! They ask men to send them money in order to get the lighten cream to become lighter! Like I said I went to Djibouti multiple times since my mother and father live in Djibouti so I know what am talking about! I know women that have lighten themselves 5 shades lighter than their original skin because they were getting married and had pressure to become lighter in Canada. I know Somali parents that tell their children do not get married to a dark skin Somali women! Not because of their «ugly features ; Somalis love to use this as a cope out », character, compatibility but simply because shes dark skin.
