Colourism in the Somali community is a fake Agenda.

That is being set in motion by individual Somali women (you don’t hear the guys say this) because they want to emulate Black culture and their pathetic disgusting victim mentality.

I have lived in Somalia for years and not once did I hear any insult towards my sisters who are all dark skin, the first time I heard about it was back in 2017 by an African American woman online. Now it is 2021 and some Somali girls are falsely pushing this narrative.

There is no way I will accept this false agenda that’s being pushed in order for us to be forcefully assimilated to the “Black struggle” we came from a lineage of great warriors and queens 💯

Somalis chat shit to each other about skin tone, but I’ve never see a Somali man diss darkskin. Most Somali men marry brown skins. We care more about features rather then your skin tone.

They try to copy those madows that cry 24/7 about darkskins are equal to lightskins. BLM Xalimos are willing to put down our ethnicity so Tyrone and Sharkeisha see them as apart of the "Black Struggle". uf caleyk

Precisely. Also, we care about features because we want to protect, value and recognise our Somaalinimo!

For example neighbours and other Somalis only used to cuss how one of my sisters used to walk (Gabadha sida maska usocota) Lmaoo but never skin tone, never.

A beautiful somali woman is a beautiful somali woman regardless of how dark she is. These obese twitter feminist with bad attitudes blame their lack of attraction in society to how dark they are instead of how badly shaped and wack their personality is.

The issue of colorism also came up in African american society due to how much their men began dating white and latina girls over their own women. Somali men still in the culture wifing these Xalimos up over any other culture. A somali brother from Finland will travel halfway across the world to marry a xalimo over a cadaan.

these new age modern feminist xalimos just like to complain.

It's so embarrasing wallahi, can't wait for the Kangz to turn on them like they turned on their "white allies" :hemad:

You guys think skin bleaching back home came out of nowhere? Colourism is present in Somalia and the diaspora. You man are being obtuse
Somalis beg their family to send lacaag through dahabshiil. Only a few can afford skin bleaching.

A few women bleaching != colorism.

Beauty standards != colorism.

We don’t put down darkskin women.

Somalia isn't as bad as India but you think nicknames like cadde, noor, madoobe iyo neero, came out of no where.

During the 1950s-60s, people used to call girls "Yurub" if they were lightskinned and there were also poems about the beauty and noor of certain individuals. We also had a group of people called 'Beizanis', which was basically a club of Somalis/Eritreans/Arabs who resembled cadaans and acted like them.

Even terms like dhuxul had problematic contexts. Notice how madooweyne in Somalia are not referred to as dhuxul but only Ethnic Somalis are.

Colourism does exist on our community but it’s not as bad as the South Asians because they have caste system. Somalis have Qabil and coming from a big qabil matters that is enough to succeed in everything from marriage to wealth.

Your statement would be true if Madoobe was used negatively but it is used descriptively as Somali nicknames are descriptive in nature. More examples of this include “Faroole” or “Gaal” which have nothing to do with Colourism.

That mythical group of “Beizanis” doesn’t even sound like it is a Somali construct which invalidates your point.

Madoobe is used as a nickname laakin no-one calls their own kid madoobe whereas parents are happy to call their own kid cadde.

Madoobe is a nickname that other people bestow on you that one lives with (like afweyn for Siyaad) whereas cadde is a pet name parents and other people call you affectionately.

As for Beizanis, Samiya Lerew has extremely exaggerated/lied about who they were but it is true that a group of people existed in Somalia that acted like cadaans, were lightskinned and acted like d*cks about it.

Doqon iyo habeen a madow.

This is saying they say back home and you want to lie through your teeth and say colourism doesn't exist.

Or maybe you are just ignorant about it. If so why are you so loud and wrong? What is wrong with the little boys on sspot. They know nothing, but talk the most.
