Iโ€™ve noticed uk Somalis are infatuated with them.. I see those street interviews and you see Somalis begging connections with them & NAโ€™s in the comments. our uk diaspora is the weirdest to me ngl
are we actually the weirdest diaspora ๐Ÿ˜ญ

because of all the hate we received, that's why you see a lot try and befriend ajanabis, to fit in.
Itโ€™s so cringe, in Canada we donโ€™t beg other ajnabis. They try to infiltrate our groups.. I wanna know what makes yall so different than us. Is it because integration was harder? What is it that makes you guys more susceptible to low self esteem/ radicalization than North American & Australian diasporas?

I do agree, you should not generalise a group. An individual is an individual and is not a representation of an ethnic group as a whole, ajnabis can take somali trolls as a representation of somalis for example. Even though it's just chronically online people, without much in their life.
I agree in a sense however there is defo certain opinions the ingroup holds which represent the broader group (majority) not all but many. For example Somalis do look down upon Madowweyne & their features. Likewise many lighter groups will look down upon darker skinned groups does it mean everyone does it? No but thatโ€™s their society & how they were raised and will defo stay with many even if only subconsciously.

Because of the severe hate we received both social media and in real life. Many don't want to admit most of us had it hard growing up in the uk constantly being dehuminized by the media as refugees, benefit scroungers nit to mention other black people stomping your existence and teaming up with cadaans. All of thisbled some somalis to have identity crisis and statt befriending mostly ajanabis so they can be seen as "normal"

Sad. The world is cruel to dark skins; humans original color.
Wait, I thought dark (black) was the absence of colour, no?

From what I see online yes ๐Ÿ˜ญ the chillest are Australians/ Scandinavians & Canadians
I think the UK is just harder to integrate tbh Canada prides itself with the whole โ€œmosaicโ€ of cultures. So I guess it was less pressure for usโ€ฆ but the darker Bengali sister stood out to me in terms of beautyโ€ฆ funny how things are

Edit: I take what I said back from the UK Somalis. I hope you guys thrive and prosper. F those dusty jealous ajanabis ufff

thanks for the explanation

If you're a beautiful girl and your culture considers you unattractive because of your skin color that is typical in your culture, then your culture has problems. It's not like shes even dark skin for her background, thats a typical complexion for a bengali just isn't light skin. It means outside interference/foreigners shaped your beauty standard and not the natives.

Madowweyne are foreigners, not ethnic Somalis so it's not relevant. An ethnicity not finding another ethnicity attractive is ok, but if an ethnicity finds half their own ethnicity unattractive because of their ethnic features, then that's a problem.
