I used to donated about 10% of the money that I get from my parents to support underprivileged kids from third world countries. Believe me, it was pretty a lot. I thought I was doing something meaningful. oh I'm trying to make the world better place, I'm giving opportunities to children in poverty kind of bullshits. Stopped doing that when I came to Canada and realized that most of people who would racially discriminate are from the countries that I financially supported. Funny thing is, I came to Canada and I have never been discriminated by a person from Canada but people from those countries. Blame me if I sound like an overgeneralizing asshole but that's what I have learned in 5 years. Sorry to say that but it is true that racism happens when people are not enough educated. If you don't get the idea that racism is not a cool thing, it's alright cuz it's on your shitty environment.
