If the developed countries that have contributed the most to emissions donate to a UN climate reparation fund, Somalia should be owed billions. Five rainy seasons missed already, the poor are punished for something they didn't take part in. How can you even grow food? 40K estimated deaths already subhanallah, the world cannot continue to ignore what is happening. This food instability is only going to get worse over the next few years as temperatures rise.

Climate change funding can easily vanish if republicans take over in America. Same thing in Europe I wouldn’t count on it. If trump comes back all that will be gone into thin air like Paris accord.
somalia should get better rain now that La Niña is finished . El Niño is supposed to start and with it comes increased rainfall in east Africa. Will see how it goes already seeing flooding and rain in some places but like usual we not building dams or harnessing it

Dams and tree planting are our number one killer right now. We have 65% nomadic/semi nomadic population that’s overgrazing the land add that to the constant tree cutting to make enough charcoal for major cities and towns. We should be using gas cooks at this point or else the whole of Somalia will soon turn into a barren desert.

last time we had El Niño was 2019 which was weak one. Before that it 2014-2016 when we had last strong one.
