Somalia is a hotbed for terror, particularly in the oil producing regions of the country. Its government and the armed forces are deeply intertwined with Al Qaeda in Somalia (commonly referred to by Somalis as "Al Shabab"), who are responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people and the misery of millions more. The Somalia people crave for peace and freedom and democracy. We must hear their brave calls for support. We in the west must be bold in our response against the terrorist regime that is a threat to not only the people of Somalia but our allies in the Horn who we rely on in being partners with us in tackling this evil. As part of global efforts on the war on terror, NATO is announcing today of the launch of Operation Awaken Lion (or Libaax Kacay). Up until 20th century Somalia, the lion was regarded by Somali nomads as the animal that resembles them most: strong, independent, decisive and proud. Somali elders say as the lion population dwindled, so did the Somali spirit. We must awaken the Somali inner lion. We owe it to the people of Somalia and for the protection of human rights.
If the west ever decides to do the right thing, give me a call. I am a khatar khayin when it comes to propaganda. I will provide my services for free. The oil must be secured from Al Qaeda.... Free and fair elections... wink wink.
