A native script is always better for morale and cultural preservation. I also prefer Somali written in Arabic over it being written in Latin.
Ciyaal Casiir Xalimo claiming siad barre invented the Somali language and Somalis spoke Arabic before that.

Latin is more main stream and easier to implement and can also be a perc for Somalis wanting to learn English, the most important language in the whole world
Also if we had a native script it would be hard to reteach it to the Somalia
