Yes, the more 'democratic' 'Nations' in Sub-Saharan Africa are doing economically better than dictatorships in Sub-Saharan Africa.
because you are south sudanese an utter craphole like somalia. if south sudan had 1 tenth of cold war era dictatorships it would be 1 thousand times better. even today iraq after invasion destruction and war is doing significantly better than south sudan even though a chunk of iraq is an iranian protectorate.
no country will ever develop from being a wasteland to developed under multiple leaders every few years. unless its unstrategic. kenya was a british puppet and now a uncle sam puppet. and it took for somalia to turn into chaos for kenya to gain relevance.

We've literally had the same dictator since 2005 and I don't see how just having a dictator from the cold war era would have helped our situation.

Dr. John Garang's dictatorship would have been beneficial in the first 10-15 years of our State because jackals would have been neutralised at that point...

..But a tenure beyond that period would have been terrible. Garang was educated and capable, but you can't exclude other capable individuals if you want to progress.

We started off far worse than Iraq, so I don't understand your point here; we literally lost millions of people during the North-South war and our condition was already Neolithic prior to that.

Well, we've not changed leaders and neither has most of Africa, so where is the development that dictators apparently bring? The longest serving 'President' in Africa served for 42 years and there was nothing to show for it.

I've made it clear that I don't think we should change Administrations every few years; a technocratic Executive Council should serve for 7-10 straight years and it should not be elected by the general public.

Somali is chaotic but we have freedom something China and Russians don’t have for long stretches of time. Each of their revolutions also took 10+ million lives. Singapore seems like good model
