They also have a competent army now and the largest navy on earth. They also turned a mostly illiterate population that relied on rice farming into an educated one. It’s good to be optimistic about the potential growth and there’s certainly things we can learn from them in terms of setting up the right foundation to support the development of a 3rd world nation into a 2nd world if not 1st world nation.

Yes I agree, we have new technologies and a network of knowledge that's available. We need to become self sufficient in food and other important things and build an Army that will protect all Somalis not just their "tol". We have a chance to turn Somalia into something amazing in very little time.

Look at what were able to do once people were mobilized and united in a goal of nation building. We did this without the help of the West or anyone.

I'd say Somalia could achieve something close to it if there was peace and only qualified people held positions it all comes down to good leadership and and competence
