I think they're helpful for countries on a formative level of economic development, building major infrastructure like bridges, highways, railway, ports, can link a country together and stimulate internal trade and growth.
Somalia needs to tread carefully when dealing with the Chinese, they're been helpful in some countries, but in others shackled some countries with debt, killed local industries by filling market with cheap products, and overall has a neo colonial presence such as acquiring a sea port for a 100 years.

If its of proper benefit for Somalia without any shady loans and deals, I welcome them. Giving that they don't ship over Chinese small business owners and settlers. Let's cooperate in a distant but professional manner without these midgets trying to act like slave owners as they are doing in so many African countries. No Somali would ever accept that anyway, lol. But China is way better for business and development than the gaalo in Europe and the US. Those guys intentionally hold Somalia down and don't want it to prosper.
