That's a good concept overall, but for now we need to address the real issues , im not talking about politics nor FKD , we need to begin with an easy approach, how about we introduce recycling to Somalis , by incinerating green waste into bio fuel instead of burying and burning it we need ways to deter pollution since there's nothing to gain from impacting arable lands for grazing,
qashin guruto it's something we Somalis are not fond of due to its ignoble attachments , but apparently there's a fortune to make of, if we somehow did managed to mobilse groups of people and have the equipments enough for a municipal waste to biofuel precursors. As the need for energy security grows, many developing nations especially countries of Africa have generated nonfood biomass sources that can be used to create valuable biofuels and bioproducts.
Imagine turning from Garbage in to Energy out.

Solar powered plants is expansive but efficient , but this is also an efficient to reduce further complications

These niggas created an 80 bilion dollars canal that redirected water from the north.

Fortunately we could do it for much less. Somalia's climate is meant to be tropical if it wasn't for the monsoon winds and the rift valley mountains.

We just need to improve our soil so that it could hold much more water. Once you do that you get a self sustaining moderate climate.

Plenty of ways to do revitalize tens of millions of hectares of soil at a fraction of 80 billion dollars.

The simplest way would be to restrict overgrazing the soil is so thin because of that and rain destroying surface layers but at the same time livestock grazing is the main profession..

We also raise the goats. Xoolo if ever saw one. These devils pull out plants by the root.

Whoever introduced them to the region must've wanted to curse our land.

I think if we stuck to sheep and cows we could feed 10 million of them within some land the size of Benaadir with enough irrigation.

If we use them properly they could help revitalize the soil.

A faster method would be to introduce some bio matter into our soils.

We'll need billions of tons of high quality bio matter like dead plants.

Where do we get it from? Build mega food processing plants > import raw produce from neighbors under a production or revenue sharing agreement > mix the waste end products with minerals and microorganisms and spread it all across our arid landscapes...

Problem solved at a fraction of the cost.

That waste product could either have been sold as bio fuel for cents per pound or revitalize a square meter of desert land that could bring thousands of dollars of revenue from agriculture in the years to come.

Enrich the soil, add bacteria, fungae and the soil will create it's own ecosystem which will change the soil to be able to hold more water.

Don't want to make this more of an essay it's already becoming but somehow this will increase rainfall.

12,000 tonnes of orange peel did the trick for this rainforest in Costa Rica

16 year turnaround but it shouldn’t be as long for simple grass to grow

I agree goats are a disaster! They should put them in cages walahi! You cant even plant trees in the streets, they eat everything.
