It's the same reason why somalis would say syrians speaking af Somali are cute but cringe and get mad at Oromos in Somalia. Sure the colonial mentality is there but Kenyans are more afraid of millions of our folks running their country. A few white dudes isn't a big deal for them but millions of Somalis who have economic and political power is. The average Kenyan doesn't deal with Europeans , they deal with somalis daily and they see their neighbors from a gaajo country like Somalia (in their mind) opening malls , shops , getting rich etc and they get mad.
I'm not justifying their reaction, just explaining their thinking

Oromos are an integral part of the Somali economy. Entire industries would fail without them today. Especially in the north.

Lol they aren't. There aren't that many Oromos in Somalia and the few that live there work as maids or other low skill jobs.

Oromos were eating kids in Northern Somalia and were overall causing trouble. Not to sound like a dickrider but at least Syrians were very nice people, stayed out of trouble, and they did assimilate and restart their lives over.

They're not even remotely comparable

This Syrian kid lives in Somalia and he can speak Somali well. Wallahi this blew my mind when it popped up in my fyp. Mashallah.
