Tarrifs making the US richer? As a Minnesotan this has caused some rural communities alot of burden because soybeans are exported to China at a very high rate and due to the tarrifs the Chinese have stopped buying American soybeans, like 0 USD worth of the stuff has been purchased this year- if this continues all harvest it will probably bankrupt many ppl.

Yeah the tarrif war is still going on, and because of it the Chinese places a thirty four percent tarrif on American soybeans (literally one third of total value!) this has caused Chinese clients to buy a grand total of zero soybeans because Brazil's stuff is now like 1k times more competitive.

That being said, he’s got a solid shot at becoming President. He’s not some far-left figure either , he’s basically a centrist, establishment Democrat type, so the DNC won’t resist him much.
