an extra 5 people were killed by police today in Baba Dogo Nairobi. and 4 in Mathare. Police say the civilians weren't killed by them but by protesters, adding that opposition protesters were shooting life rounds at the Police, so they had no choice but to shoot back.

Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga called Sunday for "international intervention" in the country's election crisis, saying at least 31 supporters have been killed by police and militia since his return from an overseas trip on Friday.

Odinga said Kenya "was being pushed to the precipice" after residents of a Nairobi slum protested the killing of at least 13 people in an overnight attack by unknown gunmen. "This is state-sponsored thuggery," Odinga said. An area lawmaker was shot in the leg during protests that followed the killings, Odinga said.

Police said four people were killed in the attack, but mortuary attendants told The Associated Press that 13 bodies, all with bullet wounds, had been brought in.

Odinga said 18 people were shot dead Friday when police tried to stop his supporters from lining the roads to welcome him after speaking engagements in the U.S. and Britain. Mortuary records corroborate Odinga's death toll. Police said five people were killed by mobs.

The nullification of Kenya's August election was the first time a court in Africa had overturned a presidential vote. With this weekend's death toll nearly 100 people have died in political unrest since then, the majority opposition demonstrators shot by police during protests.

Kenyan media is under reporting the death toll, the Mortuary is confirming 31 dead. 18 on Friday at his arrival and 13 today at Mathare and Baba Dogo.

I talked to my Eedo in Kenya in Saturday and things are messy.

The Supreme Court will decide on election petitions on Monday and that will be a do or die.. ethnic clashes are already happening and police killing people.

Kenyans are smart enough to never go the way of Somalia. Kudos to them.
Their country would go up in flames were it not for westerners that are making sure peace prevails since they have deep interests in Kenya unlike in Somalia where chaos was encouraged.

Chaos was not encouraged in Somalia, we did it single handedly.

Kenyans learned from Somalia, their army and police won't go tribal like ours did.

Tell that to the 31 killed in the last 3 days, and the 100 dead since last month. It is without a doubt that if Odinga doesn't become president Kenya will go into sectarian conflicts. Not just with Jubilee and Nasa, but also the Coast region that's hellbent on Secession.

The only way this will be resolved is if the Jubilee party cut their wins and let the presidency go, swearing in Odinga as president. Which is unlikely because Jubilee has insulted Odiga and belittled his claim since august and have already invested too much.

Odinga lost. Most Kenyans hace accepted that. I don't see a civil war there any time soon.
