Staying in Somalia/Somaliland needs to be made attractive to the young people there, they’re literally the future of the nation and the ones who will help build it up to be a prosperous nation.
There needs to be some massive brainwashing among the youth to show them that if they stay they’ll be much richer than they are now and will live much more comfortably especially if they partake in the development of the country, rather than coming to this dying society called the west. It’s sad that the educated ones are fleeing they’re the ones who will benefit the most off of Somalia development, even if things feel tough for them now.

Less than 1% of migrants entering the country between 2018-2024 btw. Only Somalis could make themselves the poster child for this despite these odds, you have to admire the work rate

Congo used to be called Zaire until 1997 imagine. The people everyone now knows as “Congolese” used to be called Zaireans but you never hear that now unless you speak to 50+ year olds and even then it’s rare

Many Walanweyns have been doing this route for the past year now. Mogadishu to Algeria and then Spain, usually Ireland or Belgium afterwards. I'd say they make up a clear majority of the Tahribis at this point.
I sympathise with people leaving but why now when places like Mogadishu or Bosaso are improving? It can't be that bad to the point where you have to traverse across the entirety of the African continent.
