I have a soulmate. He’s a conservative Mexican of mostly Spaniard descent. He’s fourth generation like me and his family descend from Jalisco and Durango. Him and family looks sorta Arabic. But I would dated a Somali or Berber, but I live in Chicago. Every Somali person I ran into was a woman. I’ve never got a chance to be around my people like that. So, I had to get a guy with values similar to Somalis. My boyfriend attracts a lot of Arabic people. Seriously, that man like 20 friend requests from Muslims. Lol But my maadow side is technically Afro-Latino and the second president of Mexico was black. So it’s kinda not bad. And Tuaregs enslaved the Spanish and Somalis enslaved the portuguese. So half my ancestors enslaved the people than colonized my boyfriend’s ancestors. Lol.

I’m changing up my clothing because I want to dress more mature View attachment 112888(I’m 34 years old) and embrace my roots. I’m going to mix Berber/Somali clothing with gothic Lolita. The obi belts I’ll wear is a homage to Somalis trading with Asia. The petticoats and corset is a tribute to British Somaliland. And the Catholic Spanish headdress is from the Donatism( the form of Catholicism my Berber family members and what my Somali grandpa converted to ) This is one of online shops I go to and it’s Somali owned.
