Deni promised it will reach Badhan by the end of the year, we let the government have it. Yes there's major corruption with the gudi for the road but their quality work makes up for it.

It is being built to a good standard. The problem is that it is proceeding far too slowly.
Deni said that the road would reach Hadaaftimo, but I don't see how this happens without a massive ramp up in spending.

The laami has been paved until Cawsane and not a single meter has been added since Sep 2022.
Maybe they have been working on culverts, grading etc but I don't see how they can reach Badhan let alone Hadaaftimo by Jan 2024.

Inshallah it works out. πŸ™

Sanaag will be our breadbasket insha'Allah.

With Israeli agriculture tech 'drip' technology, u only using 'droplets' so u don't exhaust water sources, lot's of PL land hasn't died out to the point of 'saudi' type of 'sand'. It's still recoverable and the proof is when it rain, it's green everywhere, so all we need is 'large' suitable land allocated in each state to serve it's area food security. I urge do not make it all 'green', we still want dry land becuz it makes more attractive to investors to dig oil n minerals without disturbing the ecology as is the case with the south. PL is blessed 'both ways' sis, the south only 1 way.

Plus we sit on the richest trade routes in history(red sea/gulf of aden at the most important entry/exit point too) and a future one 'belt' n 'road' can be used for 'garacad' if we can be a chinese ally, that's two 'trade routes'.

As puntites it's paramount we play a positive role in our region/continent/globe as we were founded thru peaceful means and only hold a 'defence' posture locally/regionally/globally should be our policy, not 'passive' posture as PL is doing with Las anod(kalay ii dil, dhulkeyga gabso, and if they defend themselves their called 'qabilist' by irir clans that sort of policy is very is un-wise)not only locally kama yeeli karno, regionally or globally. We must make that clear to everyone in the nation-region-or globe about our security posture in the past and future.

We need to be very concerned for Africa, we must always promote 'growth' for them as they will need to use our ports to import/export, all their exports to asia-australia can be done thru our side of 'garacad' port for those nations, plus their imports as our indian ocean faces those nation.

True, $2 mil they collected last year -as stated in government reports- isn't enough. I think maybe this year they will allocate most of the sales tax revenue to this road, like they did last year with Bosaso-Galkacyo road, that ~$10 million will help but reaching Badhan this year is probably not feasible.

This was the main page for the update on the project.
@Laagite used to update it, but it is as if he joined Gen. Indhaye in Las Anod.

Postscript:
In his new year development address, Deni announced the project would be completed by the end of the year. This was before the SSC liberation broke out with the focus shifting there.

Well. If this is true, then it explains why.

Rumour has it that the wadaads in Puntland take 30% tax off projects they have a hand in, including the Ceeldaahir-Ceerigaabo road. If this is true, 30% is a lot of money, it's isbaaro!!
That’s what ictisaam wadaads are like. It’s a shame the Ittixaad wadaads that Abdullahi Yusuf and others fought against have simply rebranded as ictisaam and freely roam Puntland today
