So I'm 16 and finishing Year 11 this year in the UK and I have chosen Law, Economics, and History as my A-Level options. I want to become a Chartered Legal Executive, but the thing is that I don't want to work for some random people for the rest of my life and do something for myself. I really like fashion, modest fashion, etc. but I don't know what would happen if I set up a business like this in the future. I know that the modest fashion market is trying to make people pay an arm and a leg for items that will cover them, and I also know that professional clothing like suits etc. aren't usually made for people like Muslim women who want to be able to work and wear modest, professional clothing. So I wanted to be able to create a business that would sell modest clothing (professional or not) at an affordable price. So what do you think and what is your advice for me? Thanks, Muna.

Most individuals work for 40 years; don't waste that time in a career you don't enjoy.
If you decide to have a "career" and start a business then remember to fear Allaah and not compromise your diin. And remember that as a woman your family and home is more important than your work. May Allaah keep you firm and give you a good future in this life and the next.

- Go uni. At least having a degree as a back up is a good idea.
- Try and start your business as a side hustle. Right now might not be a great time as A-Levels are really hard and you're not going to have enough time. But depending on your degree, once you go uni you'll have a lot of free time. You can use that time to work a bit, save up and start your projects.
- People have started 7 figure ventures whilst being at uni. Yes, that is rare, but make dua and have a winner mindset. Do research, plan, save up ect and most importantly, don't give up!
- Also, questions are you interested in sewing and designing? Why don't you try and create some pieces during your holidays?

I love designing and sewing, I have even done a Textiles GCSE, although that's only the basics. However I really want to learn to sew actual clothing like long skirts, suits, abayas and other things and I don't know where to find other support for these things other than my mum (who sews literally everything and was my main inspo)
Oh and btw I need to do a Law degree to get into my career, and knowing Law as a subject, yikes. But my career choice also does an apprenticeship option so I might do that to get the necessary funds for my business.
Try maybe meetup.com? I'm sure there are sewing classes on there in which you can meet likeminded people? There's the London dressmakers club. You can start there. Also, now in the age of social media, you can learn a lot from just youtube.
You can even start a small one off pop up sale during the holidays to give that experience ect.
