I can already imagine the scene in my head.

These askari were bored and just idling at work. All they see is a car forcing through their checkpoint, they're shocked at first and start panicking (I doubt these maltrained officers stayed calm). In panick they just shot at the vehicle and fluked a shot. (Like I said, I am in serious doubt they meant to do what they did).

I honestly would not underestimate somali forces, once the bullets start flying, they are known to be brave and battle hardened. I seen countless videos of heavy to light fire fight against the forces of evil and their calm but calculating nature in the face of death is something to be admired.

Confiscate the assets of companies who pay taxes to AS before giving them a warning.

Most the telcos and money transfer companies send millions to AS every month.
