well according to some sources laxoox originated from Yemen so I say that’s the correct name. Down south probably has Ethiopian influence. They even call chicken “doro” which is also the Amharic word for chicken too. And I’m sure if I look more I’d find more examples.

in our family we are region-fluid, sometime we use msiqul instead of suuli, I think that's how Somalis should be, no other dialect is better than the other,
Amharic have many Cushitic loan words they use the word gall for oromos and non believers and the word has Somali origin, yemeni copied the word laxoox and dirac too from the Somali language
We use suuli but majority of my friends are from konfuur and they bully me for my dialectin our family we are region-fluid, sometime we use msiqul instead of suuli, I think that's how Somalis should be, no other dialect is better than the other,
