Mohamed Abdullahi, a leader of the Somalian community in Regent Park has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a 9-year-old child after members of the Child and Youth Advocacy Centre conducted an investigation.

Police allege that the 34-year man assaulted the child at their home, and know to the child’s family. He is charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.

Abdullahi has run many youth organizations and has had “had access to other children in the past,” according to a police statement, which adds that they believe there are still more victims.
