My dad likes to pick up random things, I've seen him try to get into easily 10+ things as I grew up. From building odd appliances to computer programming to cooking and all of the in betweens.

He wasn't that great in many of them, especially cooking but seeing him dive into random hobbies and try to develop random skills was a fantastic example for me. As I get older I realize how great my abo is
