There’s many factors involved.

For starters the corruption and futility of the FGS and FMS,

For over three decades there was an arms embargo on the nation, but yet weapons and money still flowed in. This alone proves that there are those that are happy with the status quo, withers it’s for political reason or financial reasons. There are 3rd parties who are deliberately causing havoc for their own gain. The geopolitical environment in the country is a lot more complicated than this clan did this.

look at it this way, there are multiple countries that are currently financing different “governments” in the country. Turkey, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, AU Ethiopia, Kenya the US, EU etc, each country wanting their interest to be the priority. Each country willing to do anything for their interest to be prioritised, each country literally buying politicians to do their bidding. It has been proven that these filthy AS dogs have been supported and financed by the gulf countries, to keep the country in perpetual turmoil so that their economy isn’t hampered by reemergence of the Somali state (among other things).

If you’re truly interested in why the country is the way it is today, I’d suggest you do your own research. If these 3rd parties weren’t so heavily involved in the country, those AS pigs would’ve been destroyed a long time ago. Clans politics is irrelevant, Somalis are not in control of the Nation. This goes for the whole country, not just the south.

theres no united block against them. Just a rag tag force with no military experiance. Once somalis put their qabil iyo qabyaalad down they will fear us. Al shabab are smart, they use qabil divisions to sow division and anger. Similar to divide and conquer.

Somalis need to wake up.
In somalia its everyone for themselves which is sad asf. When you cant find common ground with your own people then its very very easy to cause chaos.

Heres my thread on it :)

sna takes a town and shabaab put on civilian clothing others retreat, than they bomb you. and it becomes a war of attrition.

people celebrate taking towns from them when its just part of their strategy.

Although they are few thousand, they got many silent supporters, some even don't mind. Add those together and you will be overwhelmed.

Ur right on everything although it is clan politics that divides the somali unity and this is also a strategy used by 3rd parties. Clan politics is structured well and kept empowered therefore somali unity will remain weak and fruitless all in all giving 3rd parties easy access to our nationhood

If many external forces have their own personal wishes for Somalia then what happens once a capable leader shows up wouldn't he be in the way of their interests as a result wouldn't he be susceptible to the typical African assassination tale

Its easy to defeat them but ATMIS, Kenya, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Mooryans, US, UK, UAE all want to perpetuate the status quo.

At the heart of the issue is that the SNA has been severly diminished since 2022 with many commanders killed by the damul-jadiid who fear a strong army that Farmaajo was developing. Now it is just a rag-tag qabil 'army' that fights wearing sandals, who might get paid every now and again. It depends on what is left over for them.

It's a disaster.

Hassan didnt take any towns back..thats the efforts and bloodshed of somali army and commanders who were sent into battle with weak logistics and plan leading to them losing their lives one after another... if u werent blindly supporting HSM u would use logic. The USA and ATMIS wouldn't have reasons to further stay in somalia if alshabaab is defeated and this puppet governments works for the agenda of 3rd parties

Do you think a jinn ordered the sna to fight?
I think I'd much rather have sna dying in the frontlines rather than in areas already wrestled from the khawarij.
Have you already forgotten during the cheese's term when danab was used in galmudug to settle political differences?
Atmis have no reason to stay and are just looking for excuses to continue getting their paychecks.
Thousands of them have left over the past two years and will be for the remainder of the year, nothing has happened so far so please stop with this if atmis leaves it's over bullshit.

Try to use some logic next time, okay?

Giving order as executive isnt the same as leading in the front lines. The SNA leaders who have given their lives for this fight alongside their troops have been in this conflict with no effective support like logistics and strategy which is why sna generals and troops have been dying out rapidly. This is most definitely a strategy to get atmis and foreign troops to stay longer which would also benefit a corrupt government hold over power .

Lastly u missed my point with second half.. i dont disagree that "Atmis have no reason to stay and are just looking for excuses to continue getting their paychecks" , this was my point alshabaab conflict is being prolonged so atmis can have a excuse to stay

Very simple: they are a guerilla fighting that operate at their best behind enemy lines

So even if you capture a town they hold, they just disband and operate as disruptors, blending in with the local population until they’re ready to stage an attack.

It’s like the Viet Cong.

what's your evidence for this

The government hasn’t established control over the countryside. They can take a town but that town needs to be held, a police station built, and peoples needs looked after. AS does these things in many areas and so the people there simply watch their mouth and pay up when asked.

Another explanation is lack of political will. People at the top are content with stealing public funds and staying in office and the people be damned. It’s an African phenomenon.
